We've noticed situations where duplicate assets are created which may not be the intended result (for example, if an asset reports inventory under two different domains).
We'd like to implement a "merge" feature which would take the common attributes from both assets and prompt the user to resolve and discrepencies. In most situations we believe the number of discrepencies will be relatively small. Timeline based attributes like lifecycle and audit will just be merged based on date.

I agree. When I change the name of a computer, it creates a duplicate, but I would like to be able to keep (merge) what I have filled in the previous record (room, floor, user name and surname, etc.)

This would be nice. One thing is that the asset ID needs to merge also
