Now when you navigate to an asset in SAManage you can generate a QR or BAR code for that asset.

QR codes contains asset information and the URL of the asset in SAManage. To give it a run, generate a QR code for an asset, click the print icon and print the QR code. Than scan it with your favorite QR scanning application and you can see the URL. Clicking on the URL will open your browser, log you into SAManage and display the asset details.
BAR codes works slightly different. Since there are so many different formats, you can select the different format to generate. BAR codes are based on the asset ID (field above) - change it and the BAR code will regenerate - makes it easy to better control your codes.
This is the first step in our BAR/QR code project - the next steps are coming up. Let us know what you think!

This is a good first step. One of the next steps is making sure that it is easy to print the labels
Any headway on a custom report so you can print multiple QR codes with other information onto a labels? Just printing a QR code is nice.. but if you print off multiple codes onto label stock, it would also be nice to have other information on the label too to identify what code belongs to what asset... ie: The Asset ID along with the QR code.
